BLACK TUSK Hamper Sponsorship - Christmas Bureau of Edmonton

It comes as no surprise that there are many Edmontonians who are less fortunate than most of us here at Black Tusk. Some of you may be aware that Black Tusk, as a community of like-minded people, has supported the Edmonton Food Bank very generously around the holiday season in years past. You may even recall that we were able to round up ONE very full box of food for the Food Bank in 2016 (when we were a mere 2 months old), THREE boxes in 2017 and grew to FIVE overflowing boxes in 2018.

This year we have decided to switch gears a little (because it is very difficult to house SEVEN boxes of food in our space haha) and participate in the Christmas Bureau's 2019 Private Sponsorship Program. We applied to sponsor 2 families in the Edmonton area and have been matched! Both families we have matched with are 3 person households (single parent with 2 children). The Christmas Bureau has provided us with a list of suggested hamper contents and gifts for the children. Our hope is to raise $500 per family (a total of $1000.00).

What we are asking of our community is to donate what you can in cash to help us reach this goal of making the holidays a little merrier for two families in Edmonton. If there are excess funds once the hamper contents and gifts for the children have been purchased, we will donate the remaining to the Edmonton Food Bank. As well, the hampers are to be delivered to the families personally, so if this is something that interests you and would like to join us, we are happy to have more volunteers. Last but certainly not least, as if giving back wasn't rewarding enough, FOR EVERY DOLLAR RAISED, YOUR COACHES WILL MATCH THIS IN BURPEES.

"GREAT GUYS, I WOULD LOVE TO DONATE! HOW DO I DONATE?" Because this is a fundraiser, we would appreciate if our athletes would kindly donate in cash; just bring your cash into your nearest coach before December 21, 2019 and we will be sure to add it to the pot for you! Stay tuned for more details when you can watch your coaches suffer in the name of giving back.
