Nutrition Challenge - Spring '17

What better time for our inaugural Black Tusk Nutrition Challenge than now? With summer around the corner, let’s kick start our spring cleaning in our kitchens and fridges. 😊

Here is the low down on what the challenge will entail

Who: Anyone and everyone can participate. You do not have to be a Black Tusk member to join in on the fun! Friends, family, colleagues, everyone is welcome!
What: A 5-week challenge that is designed to teach you the basics of nutrition for healthy daily living and performance. This does not have to be a strict paleo challenge. Instead it is a goal-led, sensible approach to your nutrition. You'll learn more about this at the seminar.
When: The nutrition seminar will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 13. The Challenge itself will run from May 15 – June 18 (5 full weeks)
Where: Black Tusk Athletics.
Why: Education and consistency is king. We want you to learn about proper nutrition principles so that you eating to perform better in all aspects of your life!


What you need to know

Registration Fee: $50
What does this include? In short, the Nutrition Seminar, Coaching, Personalized Nutrition Template, Before and After Measurements, Before and After Photos (optional), Before and After Benchmark WOD, Prizes.
Prizes: There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize, which will be awarded based on participation and overall improvement (details to be explained in detail to participants). 


Why is this important and what should you know?

Most of us could use a little improvement in our nutrition.  We take care of our cars, of our yards, of our belongings so why not take care of ourselves and fuel ourselves with quality foods? How we fuel our bodies has a direct correlation to our health, our performance and of course our aesthetics (as they say "suns out, guns out"). Of course you could change your diet by yourself, but having an encouraging, supportive community surrounding you, who are all experiencing the same thing you are keeps you accountable and committed!

We cannot exercise our way out of a bad diet, so take this opportunity to learn good eating habits. We want you to adopt a healthy, sustainable, balanced and enjoyable diet. Eating well doesn’t have to feel like a punishment.
